Horace Mann Elementary 2024-2025 Before-School Spanish Program

The Program

  • Classes are taught by caring and enthusiastic teachers from the Cleveland Spanish Academy (CSA).
  • CSA’s mission is to provide an enriching lesson complete with songs, listening exercises and age-appropriate, interactive activities.
  • Students in grades 1-5 can enroll in the program. Students who attend before school care are welcome. There is a maximum of 14 students per class and a minimum of 7.

The Objetive

  • The objective of the program is to immerse kids in the language as much as possible so that kids acquire the language similar to how they learned their first language.
  • The focus is on understanding the spoken language, first attempts at using the language, and reinforcement through exercises in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.

Schedule

  • Fridays 8:00-8:45am starting October 4th for 22 weeks.
  • Program observes school breaks/holidays (snow days/cancellations are made up at the end of the sessions).
  • Students attending before school care are welcome and will be escorted to/from Spanish.
  • Parents dropping off their children must agree to arrive ON TIME. Late arrivers will need to get buzzed in by the office.

Tuiton

  • The cost for the entire program is $245. This fee covers the cost of instruction and materials.
  • A 3-month payment plan is available to help make the cost more manageable.
  • Registration must be completed by September 26th. Space is limited and participants will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.
