Experienced Part-time Adult Spanish Instructor

Cleveland Spanish School is now interviewing part-time Spanish teachers for our evening adult classes. We are looking for energetic instructors with experience teaching Spanish as a second language to adults.

What We’re Looking For

  • Candidates should have experience teaching Spanish as a second language in an immersion, Spanish-only setting.
  • Candidates should have education and/or work experience teaching complex concepts in Spanish, such as the subjunctive, past participle, etc.
  • Candidates should be fluent in Spanish and have at least basic English skills.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Availability to teach Monday through Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:00 pm at our location in Lakewood, as well as flexibility to teach some private classes in the Cleveland Area.
  • Please only apply for this position if you have a proven experience teaching advanced concepts in Spanish. Only experienced candidates will be considered.

Part-Time Children’s Spanish Instructor

We are looking for a creative instructor with experience planning activities for children and teaching courses.

What We’re Looking For

  • Availability to teach Monday through Thursday mornings from 7:50am-1:00pm and afternoons Monday through Thursday from 2:30-4:00pm. Some classes and private lessons are held during the school day or Saturdays.
  • Must be able to commit to the entire academic school year without interruption. Programs typically run September through April.
  • Must be able to work independently and with colleagues to ensure proper class preparation, comunicate with parents, and manage your own substitutions if required.
  • Teachers are responsible for all communication with parents on a weekly basis and should be comfortable communicating in English via email and phone.
  • Should be comfortable working kids ages 3-10 and using email and Microsoft Office to manage classroom material
  • Teachers are responsible for managing classroom behavior
  • Teachers are responsible for their own transportation to schools in the Cleveland area.

What We Offer

  • We offer a competitive pay rate, $26 – $35 per hour depending on location
  • A paid orientation and basic training in August/September
