Spanish Program
The Program
- Classes are taught by caring and enthusiastic teachers from the Cleveland Spanish Academy (CSA).
- CSA’s mission is to provide an enriching lesson complete with songs, listening exercises and age-appropriate, interactive activities.
- Students in grades 3-5 can enroll in the program. Students are grouped by age and experience depending on enrollment. There is a maximum of 14 students per class and a minimum of 7.
- Students attending after school care are welcome and will be escorted to/from Spanish.
The Objetive
- The objective of the program is to immerse kids in the language as much as possible so that kids acquire the language similar to how they learned their first language.
- The focus is on understanding the spoken language, first attempts at using the language, and reinforcement through exercises in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.
- Kids build on what they learn year-after-year and progress through basics such as colors, numbers, and letters through using various verb tenses and constructing basic phrases as vocabulary becomes more robust.
Schedule
- Spanish is offered on Mondays and Tuesdays after school 2:50-3:35pm starting September 26th/27th for 23 weeks
- Program observes school breaks/holidays (snow days/cancellations are made up at the end of the sessions).
- Students attending after school care are welcome and will be escorted to/from Spanish.
- Parents picking up their children must agree to arrive ON TIME for pick up after class.
Tuiton
- The cost for the entire program is $270. This fee covers the cost of instruction and materials.
- A 3-month payment plan is available to help make the cost more manageable.
- Registrations must be completed by September 16th. Space is limited and participants will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.
